How It All Began
David Hou, the founder of SAMEBIKE, finally became fed up with the daily traffic jams while attending college in a major metropolis. Deeply concerned about the effects of greenhouse gases and global warming, he bought his first e-bike to find a better way forward.
However, David quickly realized that the high prices and limited technology of existing e-bikes made it difficult for everyday people to adopt this sustainable lifestyle. From that moment, a life-long ambition was born:
to mass-produce high-quality, affordable electric bicycles for everyone.
The Garage Days
It’s never easy to start from scratch. Luckily, David teamed up with Michel, an alumnus and fellow e-bike enthusiast who had a family garage. That garage became the birthplace of SAMEBIKE.
The two young founders went through an incredibly tough period, pouring everything they had into their unknown brand. Despite facing doubts due to their youth, they never gave up. Eventually, a local group—moved by their relentless enthusiasm and the quality of their prototypes—placed the very first order. The rest is history.
16 Years of Sustainable Evolution
Within 16 years, David and Michel transformed their garage startup into a major international manufacturing company. Yet, they have never lost sight of their ultimate goal:
to make people happy by providing a carbon-free, environmentally friendly mode of transportation.
Today, SAMEBIKE continues to develop pollution-free manufacturing methods while offering a diverse range of city commuters, mountain bikes, folding e-bikes, and fat-tire beasts to meet every rider’s needs.
